Rajinikanth went to the US for his medical examination in June. The legendary actor underwent a few medical checkups, and he is now fine and healthy as per the reports. He returned from the US on July 8. The actor who was gone to the U.S along with his daughter Aishwarya, and the actor has now completed his medical examination successfully and returned in his home country.

Now the latest is that after being back from the US and taking a rest for more than 2 weeks, superstar Rajinikanth has resumed shooting for his upcoming blockbuster, Annaatthe. The actor was recently spotted stepping out of a vanity van parked at the Forum Mall in Vadapalani in the city. It is said that the director of Annaatthe, Siva has planned to shoot some scenes in Chennai for two days and later fly to Kolkata for the film's final schedule with Rajinikanth and the crew. The post-production will continue in full swing after that as the producers of the film have already announced its release date. 


Annaatthe is an upcoming Indian action drama film written and directed by Siva and produced by Kalanithi Maran under the banner Sun Pictures. 

The story of the movie rounds about the relation between a brother and sister. The film stars Rajinikanth, with Meena, Khushbu, Nayanthara and Keerthy Suresh as the female leads, and Jackie Shroff, Jagapathi Babu, Prakash Raj and Vela Ramamoorthy in prominent roles. The music for the film will be composed by D. Imman while cinematography and editing are performed by Vetri and Ruben respectively. The film is scheduled to release on the occasion of Diwali, 4 November 2021.
